An IPL (Intense pulse light), is a laser treatment, that evens out the complexion, and reduces the appearance of sun damage and hyperpigmentation. In combination, the IPL also helps tighten the skin, as a result its’ included radio-frequency technology.

How long does IPL laser treatment take?

The exact time depends on the area that is being treated; However, typically it takes from an hour to an hour-and-a-half. This timeframe includes an additional 30 minutes for topical numbing to be applied prior to treatment.

The IPL is not considered a painful treatment, and the laser is very tolerable. During treatment, you may experience very mild discomfort. We ensure our patients are comfortable throughout the entire treatment by applying topical numbing agent 30 minutes prior to treatment.

Patients will begin to see results 7-10 days after an IPL laser treatment. Full results can be seen after two weeks. Since the IPL stimulates new collagen, continual results will build up to 6 months after the initial treatment.
